Annual Report 2015 Launch
The Board and Staff of Community Law & Mediation are proud to present our Annual Report for 2015. It will be launched on Wednesday, 30th November by Minister Leo Varadkar.

CLM was honoured to be hosted by the Bar of Ireland in the Distillery building on 15th June, where David Barniville SC announced sponsorship of our free legal advice clinics for a three year period. Rose Wall, CEO of CLM, spoke of CLM’s work and thanked the Bar Council of Ireland an all our loyal volunteer barristers for their wonderful work. Allan Crann BL and Catherine McGuinness BL spoke passionately about their experience of volunteering for CLM.
Clare Naughton and Denise Leavy were honoured to attend the awards ceremony and accept the award for 'Best Legal Website of the year' on behalf of CLM.
Community Law and Mediation run a Schools Project in local secondary schools in Coolock, with the aim of encouraging students to pursue a career in law and social justice. This project looks to introduce the local transition year students to the Irish legal system through a series of talks and guide them in their participation in a Moot Court Trial, which takes place in the UCD Sutherland School of Law’s purpose built Moot Court Room.
Community Law and Mediation in conjunction with Near FM and Coolock Library proudly facilitated a free public lecture series on women and 1916, with a focus on social justice. The events took place in Coolock Library on 24th February, 2nd March and 9th March at 6:30 pm.
In December 2015 Community Law & Mediation celebrated its 40th year of serving the community. We marked this significant milestone and celebrated all that has been achieved in CLM with an event attended by President Michael D. Higgins.
Following on from last year's 'Vintage Seaside Party' our main fundraising event for 2015 was our 'Summer Party - Hawaiian Luau'. This year’s party took place on July 10th in the Sheds Bar, Distillery Building (Bar Council of Ireland) and was a great success.

One of our mediators Thelma Jones will be taking part in The Liffey Swim 2014 on 13th August 2014 to raise funds for Community Law & Mediation. We hope you can help by donating.
Following the success of our BBQ in July 2013 we decided to hold annual event to help address the deficit in funding faced annually by Community Law & Mediation. We marked summer again with our annual fundraiser with approximately 100 attendees in the Sheds. The event was kindly supported by the Bar Council with help and support from a wide range of businesses.
The Flora Women's Mini Marathon is the biggest all women's event of its kind in the world. We would like to thank our staff members Denise Leavy and Rose Wall and thanks also to Cristina Santamaria, Northside Citizens Information Service, who ran the Marathon for Community Law & Mediation and raised €1,125.50 between them.
On the 12th May, the Mediation service celebrated its 10th Anniversary with guest speaker, Eamon Gilmore.
